Polysorbate 65 ( polyoxyethylene (20) sorbitan tristearate
) can be used as stabiliser, surfactant and dispersing agent.
Polysorbate 65 is primarily used as an emulsifier.
It is commonly used in cake fillings, cake mixes, cakes, frozen
custard, frozen desserts, ice cream, and cream substitutes for
coffee.
Very large quantities can cause flatulence, diarrhoea and abdominal
distension.
